Our online Therapist Directory makes it easy for people to search for a counselling professional, based on their location, preferences and reasons for seeking therapy.

It's only open to BACP registered members, assuring potential clients that all practitioners listed are qualified, trained professionals who are accountable to our Ethical Framework.

Requirements

The directory is a paid-for advertising service, available only to BACP registered and accredited members.

Individual members, student members and retired members cannot join the directory. 

This is a different service to the BACP Register which is a public record of counselling professionals who meet our standards for registration. 

Costs

Your subscription entitles you to up to six separate listings. These can include supervisor and trainer listings, so you can promote your services to other counselling professionals.  

Your directory fee will be synchronised with your membership. So if you join the directory part way through your membership year, the fee you pay now will be based on a monthly rate to cover the period until your membership renewal is due. You will then be charged the full amount when you renew your membership.

How to apply

Log in to your account and click on add to cart in the main banner at the top of the page. Follow the instructions to buy and complete your listing. 

When you've finished editing, you must submit your entry for our approval. We aim to get it live on the website within two working days.

Update your listing

You can update your entry at any time by logging into your account and editing your listing. Your changes will be submitted to us for approval before going live - this can take up to two working days.

Renew your listing

Your directory renewal will be synchronised with your membership renewal so you can pay all your annual BACP subscriptions at the same time.

You can renew your Directory subscription online and we'll email you to let you know when it's due. You won't get any more renewal letters from us - we'll send all reminders by email.

Please note that if your subscription renewal payment is paid after 11.59pm on your membership expiry date, your listing or listings will be automatically archived. You'll need to re-submit your listing or listings for approval in order to go back onto the directory. To re-submit, please log into your directory dashboard.
