About me and my therapy practice
If you are looking for someone with a wide range of experiences who is able to help you access your inner resources to work towards already defined or yet to be clarified goals, I can help you.
Originally trained in coaching while working for a large health provider in Oxford, I later qualified as a counsellor and noticed I was often using coaching skills to help clients move on in life. I therefore attended formal coaching training with Oxford University as well as obtaining a Certificate in Fusion Therapeutic Coaching with the Integrated Coaching Academy.
I am a member of the BACP Coaching Division.
My first session
In the first session we will spend time to get to know each other and define your goals (if you haven't already done that). Then I will help you decide how to take the project forward, all the while helping you find the answers in yourself.
Most of coaching is about helping the client bring to the surface what they already know deep down, but are not yet able to express. I will also have several strategies for helping you achieve your goals in case you feel you are floundering and unsure how to start on your journey.

About me and my therapy practice
If you are looking for a warm, non-judgemental person who not only listens well but helps you devise practical solutions (where applicable) and often gives useful tips for dealing with a wide range of challenging issues, I think you have found the right person!
With a degree in psychology, a masters in cognitive science and diploma in psychodynamic studies (this last from Oxford University), I am well qualified to help. However, I continue to exceed requirements in terms of continual professional development by extensive reading, workshops and attending conferences (e.g. the BACP Private Practice Conference every year).
My first session
I like to see the first session as an opportunity for the client to see if you would like to work with me as well as a time for me to ask you a few general questions connected with your general wellbeing to come to an understanding as to what we are likely to spend most time working on in the sessions.
I generally ask you, the client, if you are ok with me taking notes in the first session and also take you through items like confidentiality as well as offering to answer any questions you may have about the way I work and the process.
I look forward to meeting you!
