About me and my therapy practice
Primarily working from a person-centred/existential modality, I have provided counselling and psychotherapy for over 25 years. As a senior BACP accredited counselling practitioner, I have vast experience and knowledge in working with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), Trauma and addiction, but I work with most mental health-related difficulties clients present.
Practice description
Clients can expect an extremely professional and friendly service free from judgments and allowing the client to express their concerns in whatever manner they choose.
My first session
The first session gives the client space and time to tell their story in their own way and in their own time. It is imperative that we provide you with a safe and non-judgmental space to do just that. Clients aren't rushed, and we totally understand coming for counselling can cause anxiety. Building a trustworthy and respectful relationship is our priority, and we understand that the client needs to experience safety in order to proceed. The relationship between your therapist and you will be mutual, and an agreed goal will be to move forward together.

I have vast experience and qualifications in clinical counselling supervision, so supervises always gain a wealth of knowledge and understanding regarding practice, education and support. With the many changes in counselling, my approach will be to assist supervisees in keeping up to date with changes and maintaining the highest standards regarding their own practice.
