About me and my therapy practice
I understand that beginning therapy can be anxiety provoking for people. I am a warm, compassionate and gentle practitioner. Colleagues and clients confirm that I achieve these standards in my approach to therapy. My approach facilitates a feeling of safety, which I find to be essential in counselling.
I have extensive training in Trauma Informed approaches which I find beneficial in supporting individuals achieve emotional stability and a deeper understanding of their situation ( please visit my website for more information).
Prior to establishing a Private Practise in Therapy, I was involved in working for an N.H.S. Neuro-Developmental Service for 15 years until 2018.
I work with organisations through their Employment Assistance Programmes (E.A.P.) as well as television companies who provide counselling in their aftercare packages. I also work with Victim Support Homicide. I receive referrals from Harley Therapy Autism Diagnostic Service.
I can work effectively with People who have Autism and Asperger’s Syndrome using humanistic and applied cognitive behavioural procedures and have been pro-active in expanding counselling services for People with Learning Disabilities through my work in the NHS and also within my own private practise.
I recommend an initial Therapy Assessment in order to discuss the main issues of concern. I will then be able to recommend a direction in which to work. Assessment and Therapy sessions are usually held for 60 to 90 minutes. An assessment enables me to gain an approximate timeframe for therapy.
My Therapy Clinic is held in Twickenham/Hounslow border. There is free off road parking immediately outside the venue. The 281 bus stop is a 3 minute walk and Hounslow mainline station is a 5 minute walk. My website provides client and professional testimonials which give an account of my practise and ethical standards.
