About me and my therapy practice
25 years' experience working in private practice, health care & educational settings in London & Guernsey. I work face-to-face, and on Skype/Facetime/phone. My approach is integrative, incorporating Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and Acceptance and Committment Therapy. The work is usually short-term, though both the number of sessions, and the focus of the work, are agreed in consultation with the client.
Practice description
I am a registered provider with most major health insurers, and can provide receipts for insurance claims and treatment plans as required by the insurer. As a sole practitioner, I answer all communications personally. My consulting room is on a quiet lane, with private on-site parking.
My first session
You will receive information about the counselling, and a Therapy Agreement explaining how confidential information is held, prior to the first session. At the first session we will explore the work we may do together, and how the work will be done. At the end of the first sesson, you may decide to arrange further sessions, or you may prefer to take some time to consider this. I can offer sign-posting to self-help materials, or onward referral, as appropriate.
