About me and my therapy practice
I am a BACP Accredited Cognitive Behavioural Therapist (CBT) offering confidential therapy sessions to individuals seeking counselling. I am a warm and genuine person with a passion for helping others to work through their difficulties so they can make the most of their lives.
Seeking counselling is a sign of strength, not weakness. It shows that you have courage and are willing to embark on a journey of change to make the most of you.
CBT is a collaborative therapy between you and your therapist. It focuses on the present, however, if the something from the past is having an effect on you we will explore this. During the first session you will usually be asked to consider what you expect to get from therapy, we will then set a goal, so it keeps us focused throughout the sessions. CBT involves looking at the relationship between your thoughts, your emotions and your behaviours - changing either one can have a knock on effect on the others.
I am qualified to work with individuals 16 years and over.
My private practice is based in central Falkirk, very close to Grahamston train station.
