About me and my therapy practice
Do you feel overwhelmed and uncertain how to cope at times? In these times of uncertainty, talking to someone professional can help. I have been a highly qualified psychotherapist for 20 years. My approach aims to provide clarity and knowledge as to why we feel and behave the way we do. By exploring thoughts and feelings from both past and present, links can be made to increase your understanding of a particular problem and thereby easing the way to make changes. As a BACP accredited member I am committed to providing therapy in a confidential and non-judgemental environment. I work with individuals on an open-ended basis or for a shorter time limited period, with the aim of enabling you to live your life more fully. I offer a 20 minutes free phone consultation before booking. I specialise in stress, anxiety and depression. Issues to do with family, friends and love relationships is another interest of mine, although I do not see couples, you can explore your relationships with me in individual therapy.
I have a vast experience with issues related to moving countries, dealing with homesickness, separation from families and friends and adjustment to a new country. Sometimes people hope to leave problems behind them, only to find that they have resurfaced in their new homeland. Therapy can help addressing all this and provide a way forward.
I graduated from WPF a leading provider of psychotherapy training, with a Postgraduate Diploma in Advanced Psychodynamic Counselling in 2002. I received an MA in Psychodynamic Studies in 2005 and graduated with a Diploma in Supervision in 2008. I am an accredited member of BACP and subscribe to their codes of ethics.
I work part-time in my private practice in Central London and also offer online sessions.
Practice description
I provide sessions in person from my practice in South Kensington as well as offering therapy online. Online therapy in itself is not only effective but it is also a safe and convenient alternative, especially during these uncertain times.
For online sessions, all you need is an internet connection and an electronic device (ie, laptop ipad, desctop etc). You can also download the Zoom app if using a phone (free on iOS and android).
My first session
The first meeting usually last for one hour and there is a set fee of £80. It is similar to a normal therapy session except it is a bit longer and I might ask you more questions. This is so that we both can see how I can best be of help. We will talk a bit about your past, the current situation and what you wish for to happen, would you start regular sessions with me. If you would like to speak to me before booking, I offer a 20 minutes free phone call. Please leave me a message letting me know what time it is convenient for you to talk.
