About me and my therapy practice
Does life feel difficult at the moment? Is it hard to talk to others about what you are experiencing? Are you looking for help?
Deciding to see a counsellor could be a positive first step towards addressing whatever is worrying or distressing you.
As a counsellor I offer a supportive, non-judgemental and confidential space to explore whatever might be troubling you in your daily life or your relationships with others. Your experience will be valued and respected within a collaborative process which helps you to make sense of difficult thoughts and feelings. Understanding yourself and your situation more clearly, may help you identify and strengthen your own resources to handle what is going on, both now and in the future.
I work with individuals from many different walks of life, who have come to counselling for a wide variety of reasons, and I welcome people for whoever they are - irrespective of background, ethnic origin, religious beliefs, gender or sexual orientation.

Practice description
I am a Humanistic counsellor, which means I believe all of us have a fundamental drive to achieve our potential as individuals - which counselling can help us connect to during difficult times in our lives. Being trained in three complementary counselling models - Gestalt, Existential, and Person-Centred - allows me to adapt my approach to suit your individual needs.
In addition to my private counselling practice I have worked for the Student Counselling Service at Royal Holloway, University of London (2015-2019), and previously for 6 years for the Windsor and Maidenhead Youth and Community Counselling Service.
I have over 3,000 clinical hours of counselling experience, attend a wide variety of CPD (Continuing Professional Development) training, as well as regular supervision.
In addition, as a qualified and experienced yoga teacher, I can offer mindfulness, relaxation and breathing practices which often help alleviate symptoms of stress and anxiety.
My first session
At present I am working mostly online, with a limited number of face-to-face sessions available at a therapy room in central Windsor.
I offer a free 15 min introductory phone call to discuss the possibilty of trying an initial session - please contact me to arrange a convenient time.
During a first session I explain some information about counselling, before listening to what is going on in your life, together with some background to your current situation. We'll talk about what you'd like to gain from counselling and I'll suggest how I would approach working together and what we could focus on if you choose to continue meeting.
Attending an initial session gives you the best opportunity to experience what it would be like to work together, and to assess whether you think this will be of benefit to you, before deciding whether to continue with further sessions.

Abuse, Anger management, Anxiety, Bereavement, Child related issues, Cultural issues, Depression, Health related issues, Identity issues, Loss, Pregnancy related issues, Redundancy, Relationships, Self esteem, Self-harm, Stress, Trauma, Work related issues
Types of therapy
