About me and my therapy practice

I am a person - centered BACP Counsellor and clinical supervisor.

I have 20 years experience of working with children, adolescents, and adults. I am also an accredited Play Therapist and a trainee Theraplay practitioner, specializing in the attachment relationship.

I am a certified trauma informed therapist, and understand the effects of developmental and relational trauma can have on individuals.

I am passionate about supporting my clients and believe each individual has the potential to find their own inner healing, if given the sufficient conditions to explore their inner conflict and develop a sense of clarity to support their individual process.

I believe as a counsellor, the counselling relationship is the fundamental component and is based on trust, respect, honesty, and congruence to help individuals to feel supported and understood. I am committed to offering a safe and non- judgmental therapeutic environment to benefit my clients to feel accepted and listened too.

I also specialize in supporting young people to identify and achieve personal development goals; emotion regulation, self- awareness, mindfulness, compassion, to overcome adversities and aid the process of emotional growth to find fulfilment in relationships that matter.

I am also a qualified supervisor. I can offer creative supervision using the arts, sand, clay and paints, which I use in my Play Therapy Practice.

I also have a Cockapoo dog who is training to become an Animal Assisted Therapy dog, (AAT). He is currently working with children and has a lovely temperament.
