About me and my therapy practice
I am a qualified Child and Adolescent Psychotherapeutic Counsellor and Registered Member of of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (MBACP).
I have experience of working with children, young people and adults with a wide range of psychological and emotional difficulties including behavioural problems, ADHD, anxiety, attachment issues, friendship issues and bullying. I have considerable experience of working with children in the care system and post adoption.
Children and young people who are experiencing emotional difficulties often find it easier and less painful to think about their situation indirectly through play or use of arts materials.
My approach is child-centred, non-directive, gentle and responsive to the child's individual needs.
I am also an Equine Assisted Growth and Learning Association (EAGALA) certified Mental Health Professional and have experience of working with children, young people and adults individually or in small groups with horses.
I hold professional insurance an enhanced DBS certificate and I work within the BACP Ethical Framework and the EAGALA Code of Ethics.
