About me and my therapy practice

Perhaps you are unhappy with some aspect of your life, experiencing a crisis or seeking insight into your unhappiness or anxiety. In a private and non-judgemental setting, I will carefully and thoughtfully listen to you and help you navigate your thoughts, feelings and experiences.

Hello, I am Joshua, an experienced psychodynamic psychotherapist based in North, North West London and online.

For over 12 years I have worked with people to explore and resolve difficulties in their lives and relationships, manage anxiety and depression or work through a life transition or crisis, enabling them to live a life that feels more genuine, connected and meaningful.

Beginning therapy can feel daunting, especially if you feel confused about what you might need, aren’t sure what to expect, or wonder if speaking to someone will be helpful or if it will make a difference. These are all understandable and normal reactions to have, and it is important to find the right therapist for you, one you can build trust with.

I believe the difficulties, anxieties or turbulence we experience in our adult lives, the way we may think or feel about ourselves and how we relate to others, often have origins in our earlier lives and childhood. These experiences may have led to unhelpful patterns of thought, difficulties in forming and sustaining relationships or negative or unhealthy beliefs you hold about yourself. Psychodynamic psychotherapy offers you the opportunity for valuable self-expression and reflection on your life, relationships and experiences.

I hold full registration with the British Psychoanalytic Council and am an Accredited member of the British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy, and abide by their codes of ethics.
