About me and my therapy practice
I can offer a safe, confidential, non judgemental space where you can freely and openly talk about anything that may be worrying, confusing or painful for you. This might be something in the present; an ongoing issue or something that has happened in the past. When expressing your feelings it can sometimes bring up things you didn't even know about or realise you were feeling. I can help you to explore and work through these difficult and sometimes challenging life issues which will help you to understand more about yourself and to enable change.
I have experience of working with a wide range of issues such as stress, anxiety, low self esteem, anger issues and self harm. I have trained with Cruse Bereavement Care which enables me to help clients to understand the grieving and healing process. I have also worked with victims of Domestic Abuse with clients being referred via the Police Service and have also worked with young people in the voluntary sector.
It is very important that a therapeutic relationship is established between us, therefore at our initial consultation we will have the chance to chat and for you to let me know what has brought you to counselling, we can also discuss how we could work together.
