About me and my therapy practice
I work with Couples and individuals
Couples
If you are a straight couple, same sex couple or a throuple it is fantastic for me to work with you. I can show you a different way to communicate which creates safety and connection. It might be that you feel unheard or unappreciated or you may have lost the fun and intimacy in your relationship.
Imago Relationship Therapy is the model of therapy I use, It was created by Harville Hendrix and Helen LaKelly-Hunt in the 80's, made famous by Oprah Winfrey and Alanis Morrisette, both of whom used it in their own relationships.
The whole basis for the therapy is positive conscious listening and when you start to dialogue in the Imago way the imapct on your relationship is very exciting. Most people want to feel understood and appreciated. When you choose your partner/s it is because you are attracted to the way they approach life and sometimes life can take us in different directions causing conflicts. Our own defences seem to block our partner/s from being able to reach us.
Lets work together and I will hold the space and show you how to lower the barriers to the relationship you both want.
Individuals
The mind can be a scary place and most of us cope by "putting it out of our minds", whether that is through work, shopping, alcohol, cigarettes, drugs, all can be a form of temporary coping mechanisms. The trouble is the problems don't go away, they percolate through our bodies creating physical problems as well as emotional.
I am passionate about helping you to achieve what you are looking for. That may be to grow and develop, it may be to overcome current or past times in your life or you may feel lost unable to see where to go next.
Without giving advice I will help you to explore the issues and patterns you have learnt which may no longer work for you. I will help you to realise that you can gradually change the way you feel and think about things.

I am currently taking on new supervisees from 28/5/24.
About me and my therapy practice
I understand that when you’re looking for a supervisor it needs to be someone who you feel you can relate to – a collaboration with someone who is able to encourage you to challenge and explore your work.
The key to nurturing the relationship you have with your client is to nurture yourself and be courageous. To think outside the box. I love to work with other therapists and offer them a safe pair of hands to get curious about their client, their environment and their relationships.
Supervision is a key ingredient for a healthy work-life balance, where you can relax and know you’re working ethically and safely.
Practice description
I work with the seven-eyed model of supervision developed by Peter Hawkins & Robin Shoet. I love this model as it encourages exploration into all the relationships in your therapeutic world.
I am passionate about building a supervisory relationship where you can bring the good, the challenging and the uncomfortable aspects of your work.
We can keep learning and growing together and you can rely on my integrity.
My first session
I offer a 30 minute zoom or telephone call to talk through the kind of supervision you are looking for. This gives us both a chance to decide if we are happy to make an appointment to meet for supervision. I will encourage you to take as long as you need to do this research and my initial call has no obligation for you to make a decision straight away.
