About me and my therapy practice
Being a young person is hard.
Juggling pressures from school, socialising, family life and engaging with the world can be difficult at the best of times.
Throw in challenges like a death or separation in the family, bullying, Covid, changing schools or any other difficulties they may experience, and it's easy to understand why they might need some extra support.
Moo Therapy knows how tough this is, we are experts at working with young people who are feeling down, stressed or just confused about life. We are here to help.
Moo Therapy is a safe space for young people and their families to talk about any difficulties that are preventing them from enjoying their lives.
We listen and help you all feel understood through judgement-free conversations.
This trusting relationship helps young people and their families open up and explore how they feel.
The sessions aim to provide you/your child with new perspectives, skills and strategies to help manage your/their lives better.
Iam registered with most insurance companies e.g. AXA, Aviva etc

Practice description
I have over 20 years' experience of working with young people from birth to early 20s, 14 of which have been as a therapist working with young people in Schools, for the NHS and in the Priory hospital.
My experience has shown me that all young people need something slightly different from therapy and that's why I chose to become an Integrative therapist.
Integrative therapists are trained to use a variety of therapeutic models which means I have the flexibility to tailor our sessions around your needs.
The therapeutic models I'm qualified to use include Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Interpersonal Psychotherapy for Adolescents (IPTA) and Creative therapy (CT), your sessions will incorporate the relevant techniques depending on your/young person's needs.
I started Moo Therapy so that I could provide the best possible service to the young people I work with without being constrained by high case loads and limited time for reflection before and after my sessions.
I understand that it's hard to know what to do when you or your child is in crisis, having difficulties that you're not sure how to manage. If you have any questions then please feel free to call me for a chat, I'm happy to help and give advice and help where I can.
My first session
All young people I work with will have an initial assessment with their parents/carers included in the session where we talk about early years, education and the difficulties and or issues that have resulted in you looking for therapy.
Then they will typically have an initial treatment block of 10 sessions. After the initial sessions, there will be a review and discussion with the young person and their parents/carers, if appropriate to check in, discuss progress and agree on a new treatment plan if necessary
