Practice description

Life consists of many transitions, whether it is a change in a relationship, having a child or adapting to a new country or cultural lifestyle. Other life events such as loss and grief, stressful life events/work situations, or traumatic events in our childhood or adult PTSD can impact on our ability to manage at certain times in our lives.

No issue is too big or too small, the issue is how you are feeling and knowing you want to change this.

The therapeutic relationship is key to helping change evolve and I believe that working together we can explore your experiences and work through the difficulties you are facing. Offering empathy, a non-judgmental approach and confidentiality my aim is for you to feel able to explore your issues in a safe and supportive environment.

As individuals, I understand we all have different needs and requirements. By drawing upon an integrative approach, your therapy is tailored to your needs. This includes drawing upon a variety of different therapeutic approaches to inform my practice, including: humanistic, mindfulness-based therapy, cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) as working through a trauma informed lens as an EMDR therapist.

My first session

I offer an assessment in the first session where we will be able to identify how I can work with you and outline treatment outcomes that are tailored to your needs.

I also use a range of  clinical measures to identify any specific issues, such as higher levels of anxiety/low mood/stress or trauma symptoms. These help to identify specific issues that are problematic, and which can be incorporated into the treatment planning.

Depending on the outcomes you identify, we can work on short-term goals (i.e. 6-8 session) or longer term issues (usually EMDR between 8-20 sessions).

Types of therapy

Behavioural, Brief therapy, CBT, Cognitive, Creative therapy, EMDR, Emotionally focused therapy, Existential, Humanistic, Integrative, Interpersonal, Neuro linguistic programming, Person centred, Relational, Solution focused brief therapy, Transactional analysis

Clients I work with

Adults, Couples, EAP, Older adults, Organisations, Trainees, Young people

How I deliver therapy

Long term sessions, Online therapy, Short term sessions, Telephone therapy, Time-limited
