About me and my therapy practice
It's not always an easy decision to come for therapy and you may decide to come to seek additional support for something that has been worrying you for a while or due to a current upset such as a relationship breakdown or bereavement.
I am a professionally qualified therapist with over 15 years experience working in Brighton and Hove, Lewes and the wider Sussex area as well as online.
I offer short and long term counselling to individuals. I am a Registered Member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP), which means I work within the BACP's Ethical Framework. I also hold professional insurance.
The therapeutic relationship I offer allows you the time and space to explore some of the things that are causing you distress and/or anxiety. I can help you to explore your past and how it may help you to understand your current situation. 'The talking cure' gives you the opportunity to explore the way you are feeling and gain a more empowered sense of self.
I work within a safe and confidential setting, adhering to a professional framework and using my experience as a trained psychodynamic psychotherapist. I have a background in psychology and in mental health, working in the fields of trauma and mental health support alongside working as a psychotherapist. I work in private practice and have worked in a school and university setting. I also manage a range of practitioners working with women with vulnerabilities.
If you would like to talk through your personal requirements or book an initial appointment, please contact me on 07985498133 or email me at: lisadando@msn.com

About me and my therapy practice
I am a trained Supervisor based in the Brighton, Lewes and wider Sussex areas. I offer online sessions so I am able to work with you wherever you live.
I supervise trainees and fully trained therapists and counsellors and work with those trained in a psychodynamic and/or an integrative approach. I work with counsellors based in the voluntary sector, charities, student counselling services and in private practice.
I offer Supervision for organisations/individuals in need of Clinical Supervision. I have long term experience of the charitable sector in positions of leadership and management. I offer support for work related stress and other workplace related issues and on-going support and supervision for staff across all organisational levels, including managers, chief executives as well as self-employed people.
My approach to Supervision is to offer a dual purpose - to provide a safe and containing space and to be able to challenge counsellors/practitioners to create an opportunity for reflection and understanding. Supervision should be a creative and mutative space for Supervisor and Supervisee.
I am a psychologist by training with a background in mental health. I have worked in the voluntary sector myself for over twenty years for organisations that work with individuals experiencing a range of issues including specifically mental health.
I have worked as a therapist for over 15 years in a school, University counselling service and private setting.
Please do contact me if you would like to discuss your Supervision requirements.
