About me and my therapy practice
I have ten years experience of counselling and clients presenting with a range of issues from stress, bereavement and loss, anxiety and depression to complex psycho social issues such as PTSD.
My experience has been gained from a number of workplace settings, from a hospice, in the community, in the voluntary sector and private practice. I am a Clinical Lead of an abuse and trauma service.
I offer one to one sessions for individuals and couples.
I have a Master's degree in Counselling and Trauma from the University of Nottingham. I specialise in abuse and all types of trauma.
My approach to counselling is all about empowering people to make better life choices. I work with empathy & respect to improve self-awareness & self-responsibility. I offer long and short-term therapy
Most of us at some point in our lives will experience problems and difficulties that leave us feeling emotionally drained and in despair. At such times we may feel unable to cope and may need some extra support. This is very common, completely 'natural and human' and there is no shame in asking for help. In today's highly charged and stressful society, more and more of us are under pressure. People from all walks of life are seeking help in counselling and psychotherapy.
Life's journey can be difficult at times and we can experience many challenges along the way. As an experienced counsellor, I offer a safe and confidential space where we can work together to explore whatever is happening for you and find the best way forward. I am an integrative Psychotherapist, and work in a way that I tailor my approach to the individuals.

I am a Counsellor and Supervisor. I have ten years experience of counselling and clients presenting with a range of issues from stress, bereavement and loss, anxiety and depression to complex psycho-social issues such as PTSD. My experience has been gained from a number of work place settings, from a hospice, in the community, in the voluntary sector and private practice. I am a Clinical Lead of an abuse and trauma service, I have a caseload of service users with complex needs and supervise/mentor trainee therapists on placement. I am experienced in case evaluations, risk management and safeguarding.
I'm a qualified Supervisor of Counsellors and of counselling students. I work to the BACP code of ethics and my approach is humanistic/integrative.
I can help you to develop your own counselling career as well as guiding your clinical work and your personal development.
I work hard to get a good balance between support and challenge and - as with my counselling work - I aim to provide a warm and safe environment for you.
If you'd like to consider me as your supervisor I offer a free 30 minute meeting.
I'd be pleased to have an informal chat to see if you want to take this further.
Please contact me to arrange a mutual convenient appointment time.
