About me and my therapy practice
Taking the first steps to find the right therapist may seem daunting, sharing your most personal thoughts and experiences can be a painful journey, along this journey I will listen to you, offer you a confidential, non-judgemental, empathic, safe space where I will help you work through, accept and move on from any issues you may have. By providing a safe space we will enter into a therapeutic relationship where you hold the key to the next step towards personal growth, this can be life changing process.
I have been working with clients for 10 years, during this time I have worked with many clients from many different backgrounds. I work with adults on a wide range of issues such as anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, stress, loss and bereavement. I am an integrative counsellor using different theoretical approaches, Person Centred and Psychodynamic models, working in the moment and/or visiting the past connecting patterns of behaviour to the present. Every client is an individual and I tailor my approach to meet your needs, we will work together at your own pace.
I offer long-term and short-term therapy for individuals on a weekly basis depending on the client’s needs.
Practice description
Initially we will have a brief telephone conversation in which you will give me a brief outline of your presenting issues and ask any questions you may have.
You are in control, after the first session/assessment there is no obligation to continue, it is up to you to decide if I am the right counsellor for you. It is all about you and who you feel you are comfortable to work with.
Sessions last 50 minutes and are usually on a weekly basis, generally the same day and time each week (if availability allows we can work with some flexibility for working patterns and/or extra sessions).
I offer long-term and short-term therapy for individuals on a weekly basis depending on the client’s needs.
