About me and my therapy practice

Please note: I do not currently have availability for new clients.

You may be considering counselling because you’re feeling overwhelmed at the moment. Perhaps you’ve experienced a distressing life event, or there is something in your past that you may never have been able to address. It may help to find someone to listen, someone who isn’t going to judge you or dismiss what you’re feeling. I’m passionate about helping people to cope with painful emotions and work towards a more peaceful, happier life. I am a qualified and experienced counsellor who has supported people to cope with a wide range of life-changing events including trauma, bereavement and illness. I understand that it can be difficult to ask for help, but it’s the first step towards making sense of what’s going on for you and how you can move forward with your life.

It's important that you find the right therapist that offers the support you need. It may help to know more about my qualifications and experience:

  • I qualified as a counsellor in 2013, gaining an MSc in Counselling Psychology.
  • I have worked for several years in services supporting people affected by life-changing illness, bereavement and loss, sexual violence and trauma. I have comprehensive experience of working with clients affected by stress, anxiety, depression, and workplace issues. I now supervise other counsellors working in those fields.
  • Additional qualifications include MSc in Psychological Trauma, and PG Certificate in Clinical Supervision of Counselling & Psychotherapy.
  • I am a qualified Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR) Therapist. EMDR is recognised by NICE (The National Institute for Health & Care Excellence) as an effective psychological therapy for trauma.  EMDR is also effective for anxiety, phobias, depression and grief.

Please feel free to contact me for further information or if you have any questions.
