About me and my therapy practice
As a Psychotherapist/Counsellor, I provide a confidential, non-judgemental space to explore experiences and hopefully make sense of your thoughts and feelings. It can often be so much easier to talk to someone outside of your usual circle of family and friends, especially if you are concerned about burdening others with your problems or feel there is no-one who truly understands.Practice description
As a qualified Integrative and Existential Psychotherapist, I have studied a number of disciplines in my training, such as psychoanalysis, CBT and humanist therapies, which have influenced the way I work with clients. However, I firmly believe that each person arrives as an individual. You have your own understanding of your world and I am not here either to diagnose or dictate next steps.
The answers are for you to find but, from experience, I hope that by sharing your difficulties and concerns and through questioning and exploring together, you can become more self-aware and able to see choices and solutions. Most importantly, I hope you will feel you are not judged, not a burden and can be totally understood in a confidential space.
We can look at issues affecting your day-to-day experiences – what is happening in the present, how your past affects life today and your possibilities for the future.
My first session
Although we may have a telephone conversation initially, I would always suggest we meet to provide an opportunity for you to tell me a little about what has brought you to counselling and for us both to look at whether working together would useful, without any obligation to continue with further sessions.

About me and my therapy practice
I see the supervisory relationship as a forum where a supervisee can reflect on their work and learn from that reflection through interaction with myself. Supervision is a vehicle for learning and, in an environment of honesty and inquiry, we can work together to help you learn from your own practice and consider ethical and professional issues arising from therapy.
Practice description
Although my original Psychotherapy Training and Supervision Diploma were both integrative, I feel my leaning is towards a humanistic/relational discipline. I encourage supervisees to focus and reflect on the process of sessions, as much as or more than the content and, most importantly, to look at the relationship between counsellor and client.
We can work together to find the most useful way to present and discuss client work and give and receive feedback. I always encourage openness and honesty not only in presenting client sessions but also in managing our relationship. I am open to reviewing the way we work together in supervision and the variety of ways available to reflect on client material and hope that supervisees will feel confident to share ideas and thoughts regarding our supervision sessions.
My first session
I offer a free 30minute session to talk through your client-work and needs from supervision. I can then explain a little about the way I supervise and my experience and from this point, we can decide if working together would be useful.
