About me and my therapy practice
I have been practising as a qualified counsellor for 12 years. I am registered and accredited with the BACP. I have supported many clients with their anxiety, stress and overwhelming feelings.
Therapy is very personal and everyone is different which is why I use different models of therapy and adapt the sessions to suit my client. I work closely with my clients to understand what they need and to create a session that will help the to achieve the outcomes that they want.
I have a private space situated in Sidcup which is also on the boundary of Bexley and Greenwich boroughs.
We can work in person or online to suit your circumstances.
Practice description
The therapeutic relationship is very important to helping people to get the most out of their sessions. Therefore, I work closely with my clients to get an understanding of what they are hoping to achieve from counselling. This is done at an initial meeting which lasts 30 minutes and is free of charge. As we go forward I will be checking with you whether we are moving in the right direction. It is important to me that my clients are part of the process and have a say in the direction and content of the sessions.
I create a safe and relaxed environment where my clients feel comfortable to explore how they are feeling. The content of the sessions is very organic and I am guided by my clients on what we talk about each week. Some sessions we may talk about current events and other times we may explore the past.
My first session
