About me and my therapy practice
I have 25 years experience in a wide variety of concerns, and particular interests in relationship issues, abuse, self esteem and trauma. I am a Registered Counsellor, Psychotherapist and Professional Supervisor. I am a Senior Accredited Member of The British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy and work online and face to face in private practice from a quiet rural location in Angus, Scotland, with secure off road parking. I offer short and long term contracts and also work nationally and internationally via telephone, Skype, WhatsApp etc.
Practice description
I have worked full time in private practice for over 25 years both in the UK and in Greece. I am committed to ongoing professional development. gaining both learned and practical experience in a wide range of issues, including trauma.
I offer a free initial meeting of approximately 20-30 minutes to discuss client concerns in a little more detail and to explain issues relating to the Client Centred contract, confidentiality and how we might proceed, should you choose to go ahead, usually with a fixed number of 6 sessions. If you decide to engage in the work we would have a review at the 6th session ( or at an earlier session, if you wish ) and discuss further options. You will never be coerced into working longer than you feel the need to. Clients often find this meeting useful, simply to familiarise themselves with the location of the Practice and the space we would be working in, either in person, or online.
My first session
I offer a free initial consultation usually lasting between 20 minutes and half an hour to discuss your concerns, answer any questions you may have and to work out how best to support you.
