Having had many years working within the NHS, I now offer counselling supervision, working in an integrative way to meet the needs of the individual counsellor. I am an experienced accredited counsellor, working in private practice since 2013. I believe supervision should be offered in a relaxed, non judgemental environment where development and learning is exciting and enabling. Sessions can be monthly or two weekly depending on your needs.
About me and my therapy practice
I have worked for many years as a Registered Nurse, Marie Curie Nurse, Health Visitor, then Community Matron which has given me a wealth of experience in a variety of setting. I qualified as a counsellor in 2013, relationship therapy in 2018 and more recently as a supervisor. I have worked in the NHS and Private Practice including seeing EAP clients from several agencies.
I provide a professional service within a private and comfortable setting. I am in easy reach of Hemel Hempstead, Berkhamstead and surrounding area. I offer a confidential space for you to explore your difficulties guided by the counselling process.
I offer face to face, online or telephone counselling.
If you feel low in mood or depressed, have anxiety, phobias, low self esteem, health anxiety or relationship issues or just feel that something in your life is just not right but do not know why then I will be glad to hear from you. Together we can discuss the best way forward and tailor the work to your needs and wishes.
I also offer couple counselling (£60.00 for 60 minutes) which can improve your relationship, helping you to understand each other and overcome any difficulties that may have occurred.
I believe that supervision should be an enjoyable part of your work where learning, support and guidance can be offered and precious time prioritised for reflection and review. Good supervision enables you to offer the best care to your clients while protecting your wellbeing.
Supervision rates are £60.00 per 90 minutes usually monthly.
If you are thinking about some counselling or are looking for a supervisor, why not contact me for an initial chat? You can then decide if you think we could work well together.
I am an accredited member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy and follow their Code of Ethics.
Practice description
My practice is easily accessible by car with good parking and my counselling room is private and comfortable. Disabled access is available.
My hours can be flexible to suit including weekends and evenings.
My first session
The first session will be an opportunity for you to explain what you want out of therapy and for us to decide what is the best way forward in terms of the therapy required. It is a chance for you to see if you think you can work with me and to start building the therapeutic relationship.
