My first session
During our first session together, we'll spend two hours getting to know each other and building a strong therapeutic relationship. This extended session allows us the time we need to establish trust, explore your concerns, and set goals for our work together.
One key focus of our initial session will be creating a lifeline to identify patterns of behaviour and experiences that have shaped your journey so far. This exercise can provide valuable insights into your past experiences, strengths, and areas for growth, laying the foundation for our work together.
Two hours can feel like a long time, especially when delving into deep and personal topics. Please remember that you are welcome to take breaks as needed during our session. Your comfort and well-being are important to me, and I want to ensure that you feel supported and at ease throughout our time together.
While two hours may seem like a significant investment of time, once we engage in meaningful conversation, the time tends to pass quickly. I will work at my best, providing guidance and support as we discuss the most important themes for you.
I aim to create a supportive and nurturing room that is understood and empowers you to explore your experiences and emotions where you feel openly. Together, we'll work towards gaining insight, healing past wounds, and building the skills and resilience needed to move forward.
