About me and my therapy practice
Hello, my name is Rosemary. I am a qualified and experienced counsellor accredited with BACP. I am also a qualified Arts Therapist registered with the HCPC.
I offer a non-judgmental and confidential space where you can develop new insights and overcome emotional difficulties.
I believe that counselling is immensely beneficial to us all as it enables us to gain a greater emotional awareness and resilience to make the choices we want in life.
If you are struggling with life or experiencing low moods, anxiety, low self-esteem, please find the courage to contact me.
My approach is integrative which means that I tailor my skills according to your needs.
I am deeply committed to my own regular professional development and clinical supervision to further enhance my practice.
Practice description
I offer both short term counselling at a time of crisis or distress, or longer term treatment that focuses on deeper emotional issues and unconscious conflicts that may have built up over a period of time and may be holding you back. This may be particularly helpful if you feel stuck in a particular pattern of behaviour that you cannot seem to change by yourself.
Zoom counselling only available.
My first session
I recognise that this is an important step for you. In your first appointment we can talk about what is on your mind and explore your current and past difficulties. We can look at what you would like to achieve and hold that in mind for our work together. I will discuss confidentiality with you and answer any questions. You can see how you feel working with me. There is no obligation for you to continue. You may want to go away and think about it.
If you decide to continue we will meet (initially) on a weekly basis. During our sessions I will try to understand your experiences and feelings and respond empathetically and honestly, sensitively offering my insight, and enabling you to become more knowledgeable about yourself, your thoughts and feelings, and work towards your wishes and goals. Through this collaborative relationship a mutual honesty and trust slowly grows. This therapeutic relationship is the beginning of the process of self-growth and change.

About me and my therapy practice
I am a registered and accredited member of BACP with over 10 years experience as an Integrative counsellor. My practice includes work with anxiety, stress, panic disorders, OCD, depression, bereavement and relationship/attachment issues.
As a supervisor I offer individual supervision to counsellors, students and art therapists (registered with the HCPC).
I believe in the importance of Supervision as a safe space to reflect on your work and to grow. A process of collaboration, reflection, and learning. A place to explore ethical dilemmas and differences within a supportive environment.
My training was in the Hawkins and Shohet seven-eyed model of supervision which integrates the relational and systemic aspects of supervision. I incorporate a developmental model that considers your experience and stage of development. This provides a framework for me to support you and enable you to navigate your practice whatever your experience with increasing confidence.
