About me and my therapy practice
The emotional, mental and physical experience of relationship breakdowns, depression, anger, anxiety, bereavement and trauma can be overwhelming and incapacitating. Often these complex life situations can really feel hopeless. Giving yourself the opportunity to confidentially talk about and process such experiences in a safe, non judgemental therapeutic environment with an experienced counsellor can become the first step towards coming to terms with, managing and changing your life situation and your experience of it.
I offer solution focused short term therapy and longer term counselling and psychotherapy for individuals and couples experiencing problems in living. I work integratively drawing on a range of theoretical models which inform my work. Together we work to establish a therapeutic relationship based on safety and trust. This relationship enables us together to understand, witness, support and facilitate your exploration of your difficulties in living through the wider lense of your life experiences both present and past.
Through talking therapy we process together your thoughts, feelings, physical experiences and behaviours. This enables life patterns and themes to be identified and understood in relation to current coping strategies. Individually tailored strategies for change are then established and progressed in session.

Each session is individually attuned to your immediate therapeutic needs. The initial session incorporates assessment and lasts one hour. In the second session we will jointly decide if working together will best suit your therapeutic needs. Once this is agreed we will meet once a week for one hour within a private therapeutic consulting room at my home or if preferable via the Zoom platform online. Private parking is available.

About me and my therapy practice
I am Mbacp registered and have been practising as an Integrative counsellor and psychotherapist working with individuals for 12 years. I have also trained as a Relate couples Counsellor and have worked with couples for a period of 5 years until 2020. I hold a Post Graduate Diploma in Integrative Supervision from the Grove Practise in London.
Working Integratively and relationally I support supervisees personal and professional self development in service of their clients therapeutic needs.
Practice description
My way of working is underpinned by a relational psychodynamic, somatic trauma informed and transactional analysis approach. I am able to offer supervision to trainee and qualified counsellors and to people working in caring or helping professions. I believe the supervisory relationship is as important as the therapeutic relationship. Through the working alliance we will together co-create a safe, developmental, supportive, containing, restorative, appropriately challenging relational space in which any aspect of client, supervisee and supervisor contexts may emerge as focal to the work. Together client progression will be assisted by our attendance to the way in which client need manifests and changes our supervisory relationship. Both supervisee and supervisor awareness are transformed in this process as I work to facilitate your reflexivity, embodied insight, awareness, skills and internal supervisor development in service of the client’s therapeutic needs. This work in turn will support your personal and professional development and your therapeutic practise. As part of our initial joint assessment we will decide together if our ways of working will be beneficial for your current personal, professional and therapeutic development goals. We will then negotiate a working contract in alignment with Bacp ethics and guidelines. This will be reviewed and updated according to your individual needs at least twice yearly. To explore your needs further or to access further information about the way I work please email me and we can arrange a time to speak. I am currently working face to face and via zoom. Options for a hybrid service are available. Face to face supervision is in a designated private therapeutic space in my home office. My supervision fee is 60 pounds per hour. Private parking is available.
