About me and my therapy practice

Welcome! You reading this tells me you desire some kind of change in your life. If this is true, however you are feeling (be it stressed, anxious, down, or lost) it is valid and I'm here to support you in any way I can.

As a professional therapeutic counsellor with over 12 years of experience, I have helped many people from various backgrounds navigate life's ups and downs. I have supported them on their path to improved well-being and self-discovery. I offer you the time and space to think things through, feel your emotions, and learn new empowering skills. In turn, you will be heard, understood, and valued.

Practice description

Counselling is a collaborative process where I assist you in exploring and addressing personal, emotional, or psychological challenges. The aim is to deepen your self-awareness, enhance your coping skills, and nurture your overall well-being. Together, we'll find a way forward that best suits you.

I offer a non-judgmental, safe and supportive space for you to come express and explore your thoughts and feelings. I blend various counselling techniques to tailor therapy to your unique needs and goals. Building trust is key, and through a positive therapeutic relationship, we can work together to address what matters most to you.

I can help you with:

  • Stress and Anxiety: Offering strategies to better manage and reduce overwhelming feelings while building resilience.
  • Grief and Loss: Providing support to navigate the complexities of loss and find ways to cope.
  • Parenting Issues: Assisting parents in addressing challenges and enhancing their parenting skills.
  • Motivation, Self-Esteem, and Confidence: Helping clients build a positive self-image and achieve your personal goals.
  • Life Transitions: Supporting you through significant changes such as divorce, job loss, or relocations.
  • Self-Discovery and Personal Growth: Helping you understand yourself better and pursue personal development goals.
  • Relationship Issues: Assisting in developing trust, resolving conflicts and enhancing communication with partners, family, and friends.
  • Depression: Providing support to process feelings of sadness and find pathways to make positive changes.

My first session

Finding the right counsellor is crucial for a positive experience and outcomes. It’s important you feel comfortable before you get started with your therapy sessions. To ensure this, I invite you to reach out for an initial consultation session. Your initial session will be 50 minutes to:

  • Gather Information: Explore your background, current challenges, and relevant history.
  • Discuss Your Goals: Understand what you hope to achieve through counselling.
  • Set Expectations: Outline the counselling process, confidentiality, and what you can expect in our work together.
