Practice description
I have been fortunate to have worked with a diverse range of clients. This includes ethnicity, culture, jobs/professions and issues they have brought. I enjoy working with difference and use a conversational approach .
I have a passion for Wellbeing- emotional, physical and spiritual. Therefore work in a holistic way. We will not only discuss how your past experiences have shaped you but also how your lifestyle maybe impacting your Wellbeing today. We would then look at how changes can be made so that you can feel that you have aq sense of agency over your life. Obviously we cannot change what has happened in the past. However, we can change the way we feel about it. Research has revealed that the gut and brain are linked and therefore making changes in our lifestyle can not only help the way we feel physically, but emotionally too
My first session
I am aware that starting counselling can be a daunting experience . However, my aim as to make the process as comfortable for you as possible. Many find that just having that first session can alleviate much of the discomfort it may bring and often feel a relief from making that first step.
The first session is an opportunity for us to identify whether we are the 'right fit.' This means you can establish whether you feel I am the right Therapist for you, and for me to get to know you and to see if and how I can help. We usually discuss what brings you to therapy, your lifestyle and what life has been like for you up until now.
