About me and my therapy practice
As a compassionate and skilled psychotherapist accredited by the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP), I am dedicated to supporting individuals navigating a broad range of challenges and I have developed a specialism in working with the complex impacts of trauma, stress-related and fatigue-related conditions. With over 14 years of experience, I work from an integrative approach that combines several therapeutic methods with a deep respect for each client’s unique journey.
Practice description
During our sessions, we’ll work together to create a personalised plan based on your unique challenges and goals. My approach is collaborative and client-centered, meaning we’ll proceed in a way that feels right for you. I work in an integrative way drawing upon various different therapeutic modalities including person centred EMDR, Therapeutic Coaching, and a form of CBT called Acceptance and Commitment Therapy. Whether you’re dealing with anxiety, low mood, past trauma, a fatigue related condition, or feeling lost or overwhelmed, I can support you to move forwards towards a life that feels rich with meaning again.
Trauma can disrupt daily life, affect relationships, and leave one feeling isolated, anxious, or disconnected. Through gentle, guided interventions, I assist clients in building resilience and reclaiming their lives from past trauma using EMDR.
EMDR is a powerful evidence-based technique for processing traumatic memories and alleviating the psychological symptoms associated with them. As an EMDR therapist, I guide clients through structured sessions that help “reprocess” distressing memories, aiming to reduce their emotional impact. EMDR can be transformative for clients with PTSD, anxiety, or those who have encountered difficult life events.
I have spent the past decade specialising in working with clients suffering with Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (CFS/ME), Fibromyalgia, and other fatigue -related illnesses that intertwine physical and emotional distress. I recognise that such conditions are often misunderstood and frustrating to manage. My approach considers both the mental and physical dimensions, incorporating therapeutic tools to address fatigue and improve overall well-being.
