About me and my therapy practice
I have a Diploma in Integrative clinical Supervision. My work is based on many different models and I have a wide experience in terms of client type. I offer both individual and group Supervision via the internet and also face to face.
As a child, adolescent and adult Psychotherapist, I offer supervision to both trainees and experienced therapists working with all age groups.
In a non judgmental way, with collaboration from yourself I will support you as a mentor, educator and evaluator, aiming to enhance the quality of therapy you provide to your clients.
I can provide strong clinical expertise and a deep understanding of ethical and legal standards in psychotherapy.
Practice description
I believe in working with authentic understanding, open contact and a sense of equality and value rather than taking an authoritarian approach.
I work experientially with various models from different schools of psychotherapy. I feel the variation enables me to offer a flexible approach, unique to your needs as a Supervisee.
My integrative approach enables me to support you as an individual in developing your own unique way of working;- no single person is the same or experiences the same so why would the approach to Supervision be the same?
My work with the Northern Guild for counselling and psychotherapy training organisation has given me insight into the requirements of a therapist in training. I am able to offer support with assignments, assessments and exams.
My practice is guided by the professional standards and ethical procedures United Kingdom Council for Psychotherapy Practice Guidelines for Supervisors of Child Practitioners (2018), United Kingdom Council for Psychotherapy Practice Guidelines for Supervisors (2018), British Association Counselling and Psychotherapy Ethical Framework (2018).
