About me and my therapy practice
I am a COSCA Accredited counsellor/therapist and Registered Member of BACP.
Using a trauma informed Psychodynamic Approach, I aim to listen carefully to what you have to say and, in response, help you to think about and make links between events and themes in your life. My role is not to advise, rather to support you to discover your own solutions.
Embodied Experience (Somatic Experience) is also included in the way I work.
Based in Glasgow city centre, I offer appointments for individuals age 18+, available face to face, online or by Walk & Talk (outdoor therapy) sessions. I have a special interest in childhood trauma, PTSD and complex trauma.
My experience includes counselling in both private/EAP practice and in the public sector, in the criminal justice system and with third sector agencies for survivors of persecution and organised violence. I am experienced in working with perinatal issues as well as more generalised themes including anxiety, depression, loss, anger and relationship issues.
I have skills in working with the Asylum Seeking/Refugee community where interpreting services are required either in person or by phone.
You are welcome to email or text me with an initial enquiry. Sessional fees are £60 (£35 conc) per 50 mins, two free places are offered for individuals from the asylum seeking community.
Further details about bookings and the way I work can be found at my website.

Set between the Merchant City and Dennistoun, it is just a short walk from High St and Bellgrove stations. A regular bus service runs along Duke St, with the nearest stop at Tennants Brewery. Free car parking is also available adjacent to the centre.
Located on the second floor, the room can be accessed by lift or by stairs. The centre is also fully accessible, with secure entry system.
All Walk & Talk (outdoor therapy) sessions are undertaken in Alexandra Park, Dennistoun.
My first session
Your first two appointments are for Assessment and Formulation.
They offer you the opportunity to get a feel for how I work, and for me to hear something about any aims and expectations that you may have from therapy. We can also think about whether the psychodynamic approach may be suitable for you.
It is also a chance for us to go through my contract, which we can sign and date, should you decide you would like to continue with further sessions. This supports us to agree the framework and boundaries of your therapy going forward.
There is usually time for me to hear something about your personal history too, although I aim to offer a flexible approach towards supporting your immediate needs. There will be the opportunity to continue your story as you wish, over subsequent sessions.
Walk & Talk (outdoor therapy) assessment is undertaken by video call prior to our first session outdoors.
All appointments last for 50 minutes and are payable by bank transfer prior to each session.

About me and my therapy practice
Clinical supervision is offered for qualified practicing counsellors/therapists who are working in the Psychodynamic modality.
I also incorporate Embodied Experience (Somatic Experience) in my work.
My experience includes supervising clinical practitioners, therapists in training and crisis support workers, in a one to one and/or group setting.
Sessions are offered face to face at my Glasgow city centre consulting room or online.
Supportive supervision is offered for crisis workers in third sector agencies, who deliver support services for traumatised clients.
Sessions are available online for individuals and groups. The focus is around the prevention of vicarious trauma and psycho-education around the presentation and first aid management of Complex Trauma.
Managers are welcome to contact me directly for further information.

My first session
An initial no obligation online meeting of 30 minutes is offered at no charge. This give us the opportunity to explore whether I might be the right person to offer you clinical supervision going forward.
On the basis that we agree to proceed to work together, all further sessions last 50-60 mins fortnightly/monthly or for 1.5hrs per month and are payable by bank transfer.
Regular reviews of our work give us the opportunity to ensure the supervision relationship is useful to you.
