I am a qualified and BACP accredited Counsellor based in Colchester, Essex CO7. 

I have many years experience of working in mental health services in the NHS.  

I work with people who come into counselling because they need to make sense of the problems they are facing in the present and difficulties from the past. I provide a safe and trusting environment to give you the space you need to express how you feel, this will enable you to start to make changes in your life. 

I am experienced working with low mood, depression and anxiety which can be as a result of many different experiences such as; relationship & family issues, problems at work, such as bullying, bereavement, which could be recent or in the past, difficult childhood experiences, loss, abuse and so on.

I specialise in working with Breast Cancer patients pre and post operative and have experience of working in an NHS Breast Cancer service.

I deliver long term, or time-limited counselling, according to your individual needs. I work with adults from 18 years. I respect, value and engage with issues of equality and diversity. 

I am an integrative supervisor.  I have experience of working in the NHS delivering supervision for a short-term counselling.  I also work within a psychodynamic framework enabling therapist to deliver open ended therapy. I ensure to offer an open collaborative experience in supervision to explore and make sense of what a client might bring to you. I believe it is vital to feel safe in supervision and I attempt to provide an environment where I work alongside you in what you may bring.

Alongside offering clinical supervision I have a small private counselling practice and work in an NHS IAPT service. I many years experience of working in other organisations and feel this gives me a broad insight into different styles and models of supervision.
