About me and my therapy practice
My passion lies in helping people gain insight along their journey of what's gone before and what's occurring now. I will help you to recognise patterns and behaviours which have built up over time, so you can make sense of your feelings, enabling you to see your difficulties in a more manageable way. I will help you discover your own potential and find your own answers.
I work with couples and all relationships helping people with communication and difference, conflict and navigating life after an affair.
I offer counselling from my location on Caterham Hill - and service all surrounding areas including Coulsdon, Godstone, Warlingham to name a few. I also see clients online and some people prefer sessions over the phone.
I have gained my experience from Marie Curie, St Catherine's Hospice, Orpington Christian Counselling service, and Charles Darwin Senior School in Biggin Hill; alongside many years private practice.
I regularly attend courses for Continual Personal Development and expand my knowledge in other ways on a regular basis.
Practice description
We will have our sessions in my office in my garden, and once we are booked in, I will send you a short video showing you where to park and how to find me.
It is my hope, that you will feel relaxed to meet me after our initial conversation about Counselling. Many clients have said that they experience a feeling of peace in my company.
Once we have matched our diaries, I will send you an email with a short questionnaire on how you are feeling. We can use this as a later date to review how you’re getting on. I would also send you a contract an information sheet and this will inform you about my practice, confidentiality, how I store your information, etc. The length of time we remain together is entirely up to you. I like to offer open ended Counselling as this takes the pressure off a time limit. Having said this, I also offer short term counselling to suit the clients needs.
My first session
In the beginning, I will be making a note of the information you share with me. I fill in an assessment sheet, and it helps me gain an insight into your life and how I can help you.
Types of therapy

Clients I work with
Adults, Couples, Older adults, Trainees, Young people

Since the pandemic, I have not returned to the counselling rooms in the other locations. We will have our sessions in my office in my garden, which gives us the privacy we need and once we are booked in, I will send you a short video showing you where to park and how to find me.

Each session is for 50 minutes and I offer sessions in person, via Zoom and over the phone.
My first session
Our first session gives you the opportunity to begin to share your story and helps me gain a picture of your life. I will ask questions about you, your family and the relevant details.
You will receive an email from me prior to your first session to confirm our appointment, alongside an information sheet and other useful details.
