About me and my therapy practice
Hello and welcome.
I offer couple, family and individual counselling.
I am fully Relate trained.
Relate Cornwall centre closed in 2018 and I now offer couple counselling privately in North and Mid Cornwall.
Location.
I can see people in North & Mid Cornwall, including Truro, Newquay, St. Austell, Bodmin/Wadebridge area, and North coast areas.
I can also come to your own home if that is more convenient for you.
I started counselling over 20 years ago. I am trained in person centred counselling primarily and I work in a more integrative way which means I will work in whatever way suits you best and is comfortable for you.
Couple counselling.
You may find your relationship is in difficulty and need help talking things through with someone neutral. You may be struggling to communicate and find yourselves arguing a lot. You might be considering separation or divorce. There may have been affairs and betrayals within the relationship. I work in a way that encourages both of you to have time to speak and be heard.
Individual counselling.
You may have difficulty individually with anxiety, (either a specific anxiety or more generalised anxiety disorders), panic, depression/sadness, past trauma, abuse, bereavement, stress, phobias, or something unique to you.
Family counselling
You may find your family is struggling to communicate, or the family relationship has broken down for some reason. Maybe you are looking for help with the relationship with your children or children in families going through separation or divorce. I have worked for Cafcass helping families through the difficult process of navigating divorce and family splits.

About me and my therapy practice
About me.
I have been a qualified Supervisor for over 10 years, working within Relate and private practice during this time. I offer supervision for individuals and groups.
Although my core working models are person-centred, systemic and psychodynamic, I consider myself an integrative and creative supervisor, working within the process of the supervisor/counsellor/client dynamic. This, I believe creates the best outcome for both client and counsellor. I consider supervision to be a collaborative process. Because of this, I will be interested in exploring what is happening for you as a counsellor during that process.
Qualifications.
I completed my person centred counselling advanced diploma in 2003. I’ve worked for Relate Cornwall, Cruse bereavement service and Cornwall rape and sexual abuse centre. I’ve taken many courses to add to my experience, such as specialist training in couples and family counselling. I am also a trained supervisor, both for Relate and privately. I am a registered member of BACP.
