About me and my therapy practice

If you find circling worries occupying your thoughts, making it difficult to focus and draining your time and energy, get in touch because it doesn't need to be this way.  Are you having trouble falling asleep due to anxious thoughts and feeling restless? Worriers tend to struggle with making decisions, seek reassurance or experience panic attacks. Therapy can support you to feel calmer and more confident.

We all experience worry sometimes, and it can help us come up with solutions. But when worry becomes too much and isn't helpful anymore, therapy can support you in taking control and making worry work for you!

• I help you develop strategies to reduce your "what if’s…" allowing you to clear your mind and make decisions with greater ease and clarity.

• I support you in reducing emotional exhaustion, helping you have that extra time for activities you enjoy or have been missing out on and become more spontaneous.

• Therapy teaches you relaxation methods to release tension in your shoulders, stop your stomach churning, promoting a sense of calm and relief. We can tackle panic attacks if that’s relevant to you.

• I can help you feel safer, more confident to handle difficult situations and stop seeking reassurance.

About Me:

Following my Bsc Psychology degree, I completed a Bsc Integrative Relational Counselling degree, followed by a Master's degree in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT). With full training in two very different styles of therapy, I have the flexibility to tailor my approach to suit your individual needs.

Drawing from over ten years of experience working in sexual abuse centres, hospices, the NHS, and with Neurodivergent students at UCL, I can help calm your body and mind bringing back feelings of peace and joy. I've helped many clients control their worrying thoughts, and I'm here to support you too.

Being from a long line of worriers, I've had over three years of personal therapy myself, we're all a work in progress after all.

Practice description

Our sessions can take place either online or face to face; whichever you find most convenient and comfortable.  

My approach is based on an open dialogue between the two of us; giving you space to ‘offload’ and make sense of your worries. I could offer practical strategies which are easy to practice and imbed in your day-to-day life. Or perhaps a non-judgemental and confidential space where you are really heard and feel totally understood is more relevant? 

Previous clients have described me as calming to be around, providing space for them to express themselves and feel truly heard. They say I make a significant difference in how they navigate their own thoughts and emotions, attributing it to a combination of being truly listened to and receiving practical solutions.

My first session

I know taking the plunge into therapy can be scary, I've done that myself a few times. It's important you find the right therapist with the right style of therapy for you, so please get in touch with a few therapists before you make your decision. 

Let me take you through the next steps with me:

1) Get in touch

Fill out the form on here, Email or Whattsapp me and say ‘Hi I’m interested in therapy’. I will message you back to arrange a 10 minute call at an agreed time to briefly check if we are likely a good match before we schedule a payable session.

2) Book your session

You can message me or use my online calendar tool (see my website) to book yourself in at a convenient time and pay online. You can always cancel or re-schedule with 48 hours’ notice. I will email you all the information you need and can answer any further questions.

3) Come and sit

The regular fee applies for our first full session. The first session feels different to a typical therapy session as we go through information and how we can work together to tackle your difficulties. Then were off... heading in your chosen direction.
