About me and my therapy practice
Welcome to my profile ,
I work with ages 19 years upwards
I am passionate about counselling and enabling people to understand why they feel like they do. I aim to enable clients to blossom in the here and now and to empower clients with the skills to move forward to a more hopeful, happier future . I work with adults .
I really enjoy working with my clients and working with them to move forward so that they are feeling in a better place. I have had many successes. I work by listening to my clients and validating their feelings . I also work by enabling clients to change their negative thoughts and feelings into more positive ones. Please make contact to start the ball rolling to arrange some online counselling with me.
so I work in several ways with clients as this seems to work very well . The way that I would work with you is dependant on what is bothering you and of course on what you prefer. My clients are at the centre of my practice and I will work with you and what you tell me about in your sessions .
I work with many issues and the feelings that arise from them.
I offer a non judgemental, non discriminatory way of working, offering a space within your session to look at what you are thinking about and what you are feeling and how this is affecting you. I have been qualified for 11 years and so I am an experienced accredited , counsellor.
Practice description
I am accredited with the BACP . I am also trained to work as an online and telephone counsellor and am registered with ACTO level 2 as an online counsellor cert no 0004720 . I work with webcam and voice only using Zoom / voice only and telephone .
I work online and offer short and long term counselling. Online counselling may suit you if you prefer not to travel to have your counselling . I can work with clients in any county in the UK. It may suit you to work online with me if you prefer not to have to face to face , in person sessions or if you do not have time to travel to a counselling room. I can work with you on telephone only if you prefer. Each counselling session lasts for an hour.
I am trained in Person Centred Counselling ( Level 4 in the Theory and Practice of Counselling) , I hold a level 5 Advanced Diploma in Counselling skills and Theory and Level 5 Diploma in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy. So I can use these different ways of working with you. I can explain this more to you as it can feel very confusing. I also have a degree in Health and Social care which helps me to work with many issues within this area. I work in particularly with illness, bereavement, stress , anxiety , depression , anger amongst many other things. I believe that listening to you talk is a way of you being heard and this will in turn validate your feelings and so help you to start to feel more positive and more listened to and this is a healthy way to be. When we do not think about or work through the feelings that arise from what is going on in our lives , this is when we can feel for example angry , depressed or anxious . These feelings in turn can cause us to feel unwell and to have a low self esteem. So this is what you can expect from my way of working and I look forward to hearing from you.
My first session
I would love to work with you and what is bothering you . So please email me to arrange an initial free telephone assessment call of approximately 15 minutes to talk about some telephone , or online counselling, then if appropriate and you would like to , we could move onto a Zoom or further telephone or voice only assessment session to see how you and I feel about working together online and what you want from your counselling sessions.

I believe that supervision is something that you should look forward to and afterwards feel that you have gained something positive from it that you can take back to your client work . That is what I aim to offer as a Supervisor.I will validate the work that you are doing with your clients and listen to any stresses that are impacting on your work. I will endeavour to help you to feel motivated and inspired to work towards your required CPD or Counsellor Training Placement for example or other goals that you may have. My aim would be to work with you in a non judgmental, empathic way . I work within a supervisory contract and the BACP Ethical Framework .
Practice description
Hello
I am a qualified supervisor and welcome student and qualified counsellors . I am offering a reduced rate for student supervisees.
I work within the BACP and the NCPS Ethical Framework thus enabling supervisees to work ethically with a good standard of care for their clients. I will offer challenge where appropriate to enable you to reflect upon your work with your clients . We will review your work to encourage a continuing high standard of practice .
I will offer the opportunity for you as a student counsellor / counsellor to develop knowledge and skills by exploring and reflecting upon your client work and by looking at ways of working with issues.
Our contracted supervision will also give you the space to offload and debrief about your client work thus reducing stress and the risk of burnout . I believe that supervision is something that you should look forward to and afterwards feel that you have gained something positive from it that you can take back to your client work . My aim would be to work with you in a non judgmental, empathic way .
I model my supervision on the belief that it should be normative, formative and restorative. Our work together would be within a mutually agreed contract.
I have been in private practice since 2010 counselling clients for varying issues including general counselling, work related stress, anxiety and depression, illness, anger, bereavement , health worries etc.
I also did supervision training with Cruse Bereavement Care . Indeed loss is found in many issues and so this was a very valuable supervision training course.
I look forward to hearing from you.
