I am fully qualified and accredited as a counsellor/psychotherapist. I am also a fully qualified CBT therapist.
I deliver a therapeutic relationship that is supportive, challenging, and compassionate.
I draw upon practices that have been shown by research and experience to be effective.
I also have specialist experience, training, and professional qualifications in working with children and young people, though I work with all age-ranges over 12 years of age.
I also work as a freelance Clinical Director for a major mental health service in Somerset, as well as a private supervisor for therapists. In the past and currently I have supervised therapists for mental health services, such as Young Somerset, The Sanctuary, Bristol Mind, Off the Record, and St. Peter's Hospice.

About me and my therapy practice
I have worked for major mental health services in a variety of roles, including Bristol Mind, St. Peter's Hospice, Young Somerset, Leading Lights, and Off the Record.
I offer a number of discrete and bespoke, half day, full day, and multiple day training sessions, including:
- Vicarious Trauma Training
- Therapeutic Communication Training
- Basic CBT Skills Training
- Therapeutic Use of Creative Media Training
- Workshop Facilitator Training
- Developing Empowering Relationships with Clients
I have many years experience designing, delivering, and training practitioners to deliver mental health workshops, including workshops on general mental health, self-esteem, personality disorders, and self-harm.
I have experience running (leading, supervising, and managing) a counselling service for young people in Bristol, with over 50 practitioners and admin staff. I also have experience as a clinical director in a major mental health service.
I am available to train and teach therapists, and help services design and deliver excellent quality psychotherapy services, including Operation Manuals etc.

I have experienced supervising private therapists as well as therapists working for mental health services.
I have supervised in services such as Off the Record, Young Somerset, Leading Lights, St. Peter's Hospice and Bristol Mind.
I offer supervision for counsellors, psychotherapists, and counselling/psychotherapy supervisors and have over 10 years experience in mental health.
I have experience supervising both 1:2:1 and in groups. Depending on the therapist, I can draw upon a pluralistic approach (humanistic counselling, CBT, ACT, constellations etc.) as well as creative media (eg. art, objects and sandtray) to explore the therapeutic work, with specialist experience working with children and young people, as well as adults.
I supervise trainees, qualified therapists, and supervisors, as well as practitioners outside the therapy field.
