About me and my therapy practice

I am an experienced counsellor/psychotherapist and have been working for over 14 years in a number of different settings, including NHS Primary Care, women's domestic violence support, and working with young people.
In those years I have helped many men and women from all ages and backgrounds experiencing difficulties with bereavement, relationship and family problems, anxiety, depression and low self-esteem. I have also helped clients with behavioural concerns such as PTSD, substance abuse, phobias, self-harm and deeper concerns resulting from past and present neglect and abuse.
I offer a mixture of person-centred therapy and other therapeutic approaches to help my clients gain a better understanding of themselves, feel more empowered and resourceful, and gain more control over their lives.
I believe that all people have the potential to live full and happy lives but from time to time we become held back or overwhelmed by our life experiences. Hopefully, working together in an empathic and non-judgemental way, I can help you overcome these difficulties and find a way forward.

I also work from Westhoughton near Bolton. Please see my website and other listing for details
