About me and my therapy practice
Assistant Professor of Counselling (University of Nottingham), university lecturer, BACP accredited Counsellor, EMDR Trauma Therapist and Clinical Supervisor. I was an NHS counsellor for twelve years and the counselling lead within my organisation. I offer a professional, confidential and ethical counselling/psychotherapy service. In addition to the NHS and private practice,
I have been a counsellor for fifteen years, and have worked for various agencies including the NHS, adult and young people’s bereavement services, an addictions service and a further education college offering therapy for both students and staff. I trained as a counselling supervisor at the Norwich Centre led by Brian Thorne. I qualified as a Person-Centred Experiential Counselling for Depression (PCE-CfD) Practitioner and Supervisor with the University of Nottingham. I provide PCE-CfD supervision to trainees and qualified counsellors through NHS Trusts and universities including Metanoia and the University of Nottingham. I offer EMDR, counselling and supervision in private practice.
I have a Masters Degree in Counselling from the University of Nottingham. I am EMDR qualified through EMDR UK and Ireland.
