About me and my therapy practice
As a registered Psychodynamic Counsellor I am able to help with relationship difficulties, low self-esteem, feeling sad, depression, anger, anxiety, stress, bereavement and family issues and I have experience working with Aspergers Syndrome.
If you would like to explore counselling with me we can arrange to meet for an initial session lasting 40 minutes either face to face in Whiteley or by telephone. There is no charge for this initial session. This would enable us to think about what has prompted your enquiry and how counselling with me could meet your needs.
If we proceed with therapy after the initial meeting our sessions would be once weekly with each session lasting fifty minutes. I conduct all sessions face to face, online or by telephone. I am able to use Zoom, Skype, FaceTime or Whatsapp for video sessions and I can assist with setting this up.
The number of sessions is something that we would discuss at the initial meeting. This would be reviewed as we progress, with some clients feeling a few sessions are helpful. You may, however, choose to take a longer term view to pursue open ended work and a commitment to exploring issues of a longer term nature.
To make enquiries or book an initial meeting telephone 07931 908922 or email tmcounselling@icloud.com.
Practice description
I offer short and long term work with adults on an individual basis, meeting once a week. I am trained to listen and to work with you by reflecting on what you bring in a thoughtful and contained way.
Counselling can assist in helping to lead a more contented and satisfying life. I have been working as a private counsellor for 10 years and for the 4 years previous to that I worked for a charitable organisation in Southampton where I completed my training.
I am a registered member of the British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP) and I abide by their ethical framework for good practice. I am also a graduate member of the British Psychological Society (GMBPsS).
My first session
The initial consultation session lasts 40 minutes and I offer it free of charge.
This would enable us to think about what has prompted your enquiry and how counselling with me could meet your needs.
If we proceed with therapy after the initial consultation our sessions would be once weekly with each session lasting fifty minutes and costing £50.
The number of sessions is something that we would discuss at the initial meeting. This would be reviewed as we progress, with some clients feeling a few sessions are helpful. You may, however, choose to take a longer term view to pursue open ended work.
