About me and my therapy practice
I am a BACP (Accred) Integrative Counsellor with 20 years' experience of private practice. I am also a qualified Supervisor and a Trainer and Senior Lecturer in Counselling and Psychotherapy. My work is Integrative, with a foundation of person centred with an integration of both Transactional Analysis and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy. I believe in creating a strong therapeutic relationship with my clients, thereby offering a safe environment for my clients to explore their feelings and talk through their presenting problems.
Practice description
When I work I am real and spontaneous, with a sense of warmth and humour. I allow clients to work at their own pace, whilst encouraging positive change and giving the client the tools to see things in a different way. As an Integrative therapist I can offer the type of therapy, or combination of therapies, that is most appropriate for the particular needs of each client.

About me and my therapy practice
Alongside my private practice and lecturing, I am also a fully qualified (Certificate in Supervision) and experienced Supervisor. I am trained in the Hawkins and Shohet Seven-eyed Model of Supervision but also like to use developmental models which define progressive stages of supervisee development from novice to expert. I tend to work with the supervisee to develop a contract that suits both of us, whilst developing a relationship which fosters congruence and respect. I have also been a Senior Lecturer in Higher Education Counselling and Psychotherapy for 15 years. I am BACP Accredited and BUPA approved and am a highly ethical and professional practitioner. I am an integrative counsellor so would prefer to work with counsellors who work in a similar way to me, using person centred therapy, TA or CBT. I offer challenge and support and believe in having an open and honest relationship with supervisees. I use humour and like to see people enjoy their work and have fun and celebrate their success as well as taking tough ethical decisions and maintaining professional boundaries.
