About me and my therapy practice
Clinical Supervision
As an integrative psychotherapist I work relationally, and bring that emphasis into my supervisory relationships. My primary aim is to work with you to create a solid and safe relationship for us to hold and process what arises from your client work.
As you know, the work of a therapist can be challenging and sometimes lonely, and so I think that good supervision goes beyond the ethical requirements and the need to keep clients safe, and provides a support structure that every therapist needs. This is a structure that holds you, so that you can hold your clients, and brings encouragement, supportive challenge and an opening up of space to think and grow in new ways.
At this time I can offer:
- Regular sessions fortnightly or monthly
- Supervision for individuals or groups
- Face to face or online
- Appointments at my dedicated therapy room
- Central Cheltenham location
- Negotiable fees depending on circumstances
Practice description
Experience
I’ve been a therapist in full time private practice since 2013 and have worked with a huge variety of issues in that time. I only work with adults and I am particularly interested in the potential for a therapeutic relationship to effect change in long term issues.
I am relatively new to offering private supervision, but have 7+ years of training supervision experience and have set up peer supervision groups in other settings. I have held back on private supervision until now due to wanting to ground myself in deep experience of therapeutic relationships and concentrating on further study.
I am now taking a slow route towards gaining a Diploma in Supervision from the Centre for Supervision Training Development in Bath (CSTD) which will meet the requirements for me to join the UKCP register of supervisors when complete.
Until my Diploma is complete, I am expecting to negotiate fees for supervision based on individual circumstances. Please call me to discuss this further.
