About me and my therapy practice
I have completed training in the Practice of Supervision, which allows me to offer my services as a supervisor to counsellors and psychotherapists, and those in the helping profession. My counselling training was completed in 2012, qualifying with a Post Graduate Diploma in Counselling and Psychotherapy with York St John University. I am an accredited and registered Member of BACP.
Both my Counselling and Supervision practices are mostly based in the Humanistic, person centred apporach and my personal values also sit well within this approach.
My Supervision practice offers genuine support, openness, congruance, validation and empathy, and offers a safe space to explore challenges and ethical dilemmas. I aim to facilite support with developing a successful counselling practice, helping with managing a good standard of service and encouraging a focus on the self care and wellbeing of practitioners and their clients.
Practice description
My counselling experience focuses mainly on the humanistic, person centred approach and integrates outcome focussed practice, existential approaches, mindfulness and CBT modalities, as well as my extensive experience, knowledge and training in the practice of working with children and young people in a variety of settings.
My aim in Supervision is to work authentically with practioners, to encourage a good working relationship between us which includes warmth, support and a keenness to facilitate personal growth.
My first session
First sessions of one hour with potential supervisees will be free of charge and will be an opportunity to explore whether we will be suited to work together.
We will have the chance to ask questions and gather the information needed to decide if this is going to be a good fit.
There will be the chance to reflect before coming to a decision about whether we would like to proceed with working together.
