About me and my therapy practice
Welcome to my profile. My approach is designed to help you better understand your current difficulties and their causes. In sessions we'll explore your experiences, identify patterns, blocks and I'll provide practical solutions to help you move forward. I have over 15 years experience, have Masters degree in Psychotherapy and am UKCP and BACP regitsered. To get a good sense of how I might be able to help you, drop me a line to arrange a free call.
Many clients I work with identify as Gay, Queer and LGBTQ+
My practice offers integrative Psychotherapy with a modern and creative approach. I draw on different models and have a relational approach, which means we discuss you and your life together. I don’t silently observe you. Instead we work together to best understand what is causing you to feel stuck, sad, angry or dissatisfied. I’m interested in what you would really like for yourself, how you’d like to feel and what might be blocking this.
Practice description
I offer weekly 50 minute sessions
In my practice we explore the narratives and stories of your life. What makes you tick? What's causing anxiety? What's happened in the past that is impacting you today? What's missing in your life? What is stopping you from living the life you would like for yourself? What brings you inspiration? What would you do if fear were not an obstacle? We may focus particular themes or work more organically.
I also offer effective and practical exercises.
My first session
In the first session we get to know each other, look at what brings you to therapy, what you are hoping to get out of it and to check that working with me is the right direction for you. There is no requirement to commit and you may want to go away and think about it. If you feel you would like to give it a go I offer 4 initial sessions as a trial period so you have plenty of time to make sure working with me feels right.

What a recent client said..
“Therapy has been transformative really. Working through the grief of losing family in the way that I did was essential for me to be able to move on. Also, learning to embrace being creative - it was almost the birth of a new life and I used this to work through these difficult issues. It was great to have you as a guide and confidant through these difficult times. It didn’t feel like therapy as I had been expecting as there were no definite answers or firm directions from you. Instead, the focus on creativity made everything much more tangible for me.” July 2023

“Therapy with Neil has helped me find some order during a very chaotic and difficult period in my life. Simply saying the words helped shine some light but the real benefit for me was putting structure to my thoughts and feelings. Being in an environment without an agenda and without judgment helped me better understand myself.” May 2021.
