About me and my therapy practice
I am an experienced psychoanalytic psychotherapist and psychodynamic psychotherapist.
I am registered with BACP and BPC (SCoPEd column C).
I work on an open-ended basis, in person. I work weekly at the same time/s each week.
I offer sessions once weekly, or more intensively twice or three times weekly.
Practice description
You may be considering therapy because something in your life isn't working. You may have some idea of what that is, or perhaps not. You may feel that your life is not what you expected or hoped. Your relationships may feel difficult. You may feel overwhelmed and that you are suffering. You may feel stuck. You may have experienced something very painful. You may have some sense that your difficulties could have deeper roots.I offer a space where I can listen carefully to you and think with you about what might be happening for you. I believe that the more we come to understand ourselves, the more freedom we can feel we have about our choices, our lives and our relationships.
My first session
I offer an initial consultation of 50 minutes so that I can hear from you why you may be looking for therapy now and so that we can think together about whether therapy with me might be helpful to you.
This can sometimes take more than one session.
