About me and my therapy practice
I am an experienced humanistic/ integrative counsellor and am an Accredited member of BACP.
As a therapist I have experience of working in a counselling centre and I also work in private practice. I have worked for many years as a school counsellor, including working with CAMHS.
I have a diploma in Clinical Supervision from the Sherwood Psychotherapy Training Institute in Nottingham.
Practice description
I supervise both groups and individuals; therapists working in private practice, school counsellors and students in counselling training. I prefer to work face-to-face but can also offer online supervision.
Although I was trained as an integrative therapist, I have experience of supervising counsellors and psychotherapists trained in different modalities and have a good understanding of other styles of working.
As a supervisor I work relationally, focussing on the different relationships involved – the supervisory relationship as well as that between counsellor and client.
Supervision has been an integral part of my development as a counsellor and I offer my supervisees a safe, non-judgmental space where they can grow and flourish as therapists.
Details about the way we work will be negotiated in discussion together.
Please contact me initially by email as my phone is often on silent and we can arrange a mutually convenient time to have a conversation.
