About me and my therapy practice
I am a BACP registered integrative therapist based in North London.
I offer a warm, non-judgemental space where we can explore together the issues in your life that are causing you distress or concern.
I trained at the Minster Centre (gaining an MA and Advanced Diploma) one of the UK's leading integrative Psychotherapy and Counselling training institutes. As an integrative, I draw on a range of psychotherapeutic approaches, according to the individual needs of each client.
Before training as a therapist, I developed community projects and worked with young people and adults in both educational and community settings.
I have experience working as a therapist within an NHS service and with a local MIND service.
Alongside my private practice, I have worked, for several years, with a charity offering counselling and psychotherapy to disabled people and those with chronic illness.
I have extensive experience working with people experiencing anxiety or depression and with people affected by disability and chronic illness.
Practice description
I offer a friendly, warm, confidential space. As a relational practitioner, I believe that it is through the therapeutic relationship that change can happen, that by exploring your thoughts, feelings and experiences together, we can gain a deeper understanding of your situation, helping you to find a way forward.
As an integrative therapist, I draw on psychotherapeutic approaches, including from the humanistic and psychoanlytic tradition and trauma-informed perspectives.
I also work from a social justice perspective and have an understanding of how individual struggles are impacted by what happens to us within wider society.
I am currently working online, offering sessions via zoom or by phone.
My first session
This session is an opportunity for us to talk about what brings you to therapy. It allows us to talk about how we might work together and discuss questions you may have. Most importantly, it is a chance for you to decide whether I am the right therapist for you to work with in the longer term.
All sessions are 50 minutes.
