Prior to training as a therapist I worked in the NHS for many years as a nurse practitioner. This background informs my holistic approach towards the various emotional, social, physical and psychological issues that be challenging my clients.
My approach to therapy is relational; that is to say that I endeavour to form a safe and trusted attachment with my clients so that we can together explore the internal, relational or behavioural difficulties they are currently experiencing. Present distress may have roots in past relationships or early family and childhood experiences. My priority as a therapist is to work safely, supportively and with sensitivity, particularly around areas of trauma and adverse childhood experience.
Practice description
I see adult individuals or couples in weekly therapy. Most of my clients come for open ended therapy but I also can offer brief solution focused therapy if that is a preference.
I am a clinic supervisor at the Rock Clinic Brighton and in private practice.

I have an MSc in Psychotherapy from Brighton University and am accredited with the BACP & UKCP.
