About me and my therapy practice
I am a qualified and experienced counsellor / psychotherapist. I offer a confidential and safe space where you can explore your experiences and feelings without judgement. Counselling can provide support when life feels difficult for you. Whether you are experiencing relationship issues, anxiety, depression, sexual issues or have suffered a bereavement, counselling focuses on your particular experience.
I trained at the University of Hertfordshire where I gained a Post-Graduate Diploma in Contemporary Therapeutic Counselling. As well as working in private practice, I also work for Highgate Counselling Centre, conducting clinical assessments.
I believe that emotional wellbeing is just as important as physical health. Every year about one in four of us experience emotional challenges that can make us feel anxious and distressed. The pain can feel overwhelming and this is when counselling / psychotherapy can help.
Counselling may help you to enhance your self-esteem, confidence and relationships with others. It can give you the opportunity to explore how you feel with an independent, trained professional, which can lead to a deeper sense of yourself and new perspectives about what’s troubling you.
Counselling’s aim is to support you to gain new insights into your own resources, enabling you to explore options and make any changes, if you so desire.
