About me and my therapy practice
I am a qualified and experienced person-centred therapist practicing both online and in person in Wandsworth and Richmond.
For whatever reason, life can feel truly unbearable at times. If we were to work together, I would be passionate in my commitment to supporting you. Whether this is in times of distress or if you were seeking to understand a little more about yourself.
The person-centred philosophy is held at the heart of my practice. As your talking therapist, I would endeavour to hold an attitude of empathy, acceptance and authenticity with the aim of deeply understanding you. The idea is that this would create the conditions that are conducive for you to explore parts of yourself and your experience.
I would value your unique qualities, beliefs and experience; difference and diversity would be acknowledged, held with respect and care. I bring to my practice personal qualities of sensitivity, compassion and intuition. I am by nature quietly spiritual, with a sense of curiosity about humanity and the body-mind connection.
Practice description
My role is to stay alongside you. I would support you in tapping into your inner wisdom, tune in to what you are thinking, feeling and needing. From there any movement or change you want to feel in yourself, and your life, will be more easily within your reach.
I work with a variety of issues that include anxiety and/or depression; experience of grief, loss, change or abuse; living with chronic illness; supporting people in their role as a carer; any other difficulty people may be facing in life. I’m passionate about and have extensive experience working with grief and loss.
Sessions last 50 minutes, either online or in person. I have found that it can be the most helpful for you if you are able to commit to weekly sessions, at the same time each week, where possible.
My first session
Choosing a therapist can feel like overwhelming task. We can arrange a short 15-minute online call free of charge. This will be a chance for us to say hello, for you to ask any burning questions and for us to find time for an introductory session.
In an introductory session, we can get to know each other a little more. You will get a sense of us working together and have space to share your circumstances and hopes with me.
